Account Executive - (Commission Only)

NEX LEVEL PEO is seeking a Payroll Account Executive to join our fast-paced, growing company. This role will be responsible for selling PEO products and services. We are seeking someone to bring expertise on the payroll sales process and value proposition to new and current customers.

NEX LEVEL PEO is an industry-leading, cloud-based payroll and human capital management software solutions company. We do this by providing comprehensive and easy-to-use software that empowers HRMs to manage work forces more efficiently and maximize the productivity of their organizations. 


  • Under general supervision of Sales management and within specific quota attainment guidelines for the      position.
  • Presenting NEX LEVEL PEO      products and services to final decision makers and end users to achieve sales goals. 
  • Prospecting for new clients and new referral sources outside of the NEX LEVEL PEO base, utilizing the telephone, direct mail, seminars, current client visits, or other local marketing programs directed by Sales management.
  • Analyzing the prospects' needs and interests, determining which products are appropriate and referring to the correct sales partner to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Completing and submitting accurate new business paperwork, expense reports and weekly activity reports by agreed upon dates set by Sales management.
  • Onboard PEO clients, following policies and procedures to ensure a smooth transition onto the PEO service. Expediting the resolution of client problems or complaints to facilitate a positive on-boarding experience.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including but not limited to: Customer Success,
  • Projecting a positive image in representing the Corporation to clients and the community to create Sales opportunity.
  • Attend partner meetings to educate on PEO services and processes.
  • Achieving and continually develop technical, competitive and sales skills knowledge to effectively represent PEO Sales organization.
  • May be required to travel outside of geographical territory for purposes of attending Conference, training sessions and/or area regional or national meetings.


  • 2-5 years of experience in a quota-driven, business-to-business sales position  
  • Proven ability with sales prospecting and closing 
  • Ability to succeed in a competitive environment 
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills required in order to handle objections and unexpected situations that may arise throughout the sales cycle 
  • Customer service orientation
  • Strong presentation skills to effectively represent 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills 
  • Strong listening skills to probe further into clients’ needs and expectations 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and the Internet: experience with sales automation software desirable 
  • College degree strongly desired
